Why is there no sound? Print

No sound is no fun, and a few things may be causing this.

If you're watching on Safari, by default the video player may be muted. This can be changed in your Safari preferences under

Websites & Auto-Play then add neontv.co.nz to the list of websites allowed to Auto-Play content.

Otherwise follow these easy steps if you can't hear any sound while watching Neon on your device:

  • Check that the Neon player isn't muted or turned down by hovering over the speaker symbol on the player
  • Make sure your device isn't muted or turned down and that the output is set to your speakers if using a PC/Mac. If you're using an HDMI input, then you'll need to check your sound is set to the HDMI output setting.
  • Unplug any headphones or external speakers to check whether they're the issue.
  • Try playing a different episode. If you're only having issues with a single episode, please let us know and we'll take a closer look at it.
