What is the new price of a Neon subscription? 

From 15 August, the price of Neon's monthly Standard Plan is increasing to $17.99 per month, and our Annual Plan is increasing to $179.99 per year. We're also introducing a monthly Basic Plan for $12.99 per month.

Why is the price of Neon increasing? 

So that we can bring you premium and exclusive shows like House of the Dragon, The Handmaid's Tale and Yellowstone, as well as the latest blockbuster movies.

Is there a more affordable option? 

Yes! You can choose an Annual Plan or monthly Basic Plan.

From 15 August, Neon's Annual Plan is $179.99 per year, which equals $14.99 per month (a saving of 16% over 12 months compared to our Standard Plan).

Neon's Basic Plan is $12.99 per month (a saving of $5 per month compared to our monthly Standard Plan). On a Basic Plan, you can still access all the great TV shows and movies Neon has to offer, but your video quality and access to features including downloads, devices and profiles is reduced when compared to Neon's monthly Standard Plan and Annual Plan.

What is a basic plan?

The Basic Plan offers:

  • Maximum of 1 screen you can watch at anytime
  • Maximum of 2 profiles
  • SD video quality only (up to 540p), and best suited for smaller screens or capped data plans
  • No downloads
  • Full access to Neon's entire catalogue of TV shows and movies  

Neon’s Basic Plan is available from 15 August. You will not be able to sign up to the Basic Plan or downgrade your existing plan to the Basic Plan until this date.

How do I change my plan? 

You can change your Neon plan at any time by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Neon account.
  2. Under Manage Your Subscription select Change Plan. (Please note, you won’t be able to see Change Plan if you already have upgraded and downgraded your plan once in the same billing period).
  3. Choose the desired plan, then select Select [Type] Plan. (e.g. “Select Annual Plan”),

A plan upgrade takes effect immediately so you can enjoy all of the added features. Since Neon is a prepaid service, on upgrade you will be charged the difference between what you have already paid for your current month and the balance due for your new plan.

A plan downgrade with a lower price takes effect on your next billing date. You can continue to use the features of the higher plan until your next billing date.

For example, you can upgrade from Basic to Standard or from Standard to Annual in the same month. However, if you downgrade your plan, your downgrade will only take effect on your next billing date.

All customers will be informed of the price change via email on 12 July.

How will I be billed after the price change? 

You will continue to be billed by Neon (unless you choose to be billed by Spark, please see below). Your billing date will stay the same. Your primary payment method will remain the same. To cancel or change your billing via Spark, please contact Spark directly. Click here for more information.

Is the Free Trial changing?  

From 15 August, we are changing our Free Trial from 14 days to 7 days.


I am on Free Trial – will I still get 14 days Free Trial after the changes? 

If you signed up to a free trial before 15 August, you will continue to be able to access Neon for the remainder of your 14 day free trial. If you sign up to a free trial on or after 15 August, you will be eligible for a 7 day free trial.

What if I have signed up to a Free Trial before 15 August?

If you signed up to a Free Trial on or after 1 August, and your 14-day Free Trial period ends on or after 15 August, you will be charged the new Neon pricing. From 15 August, the new pricing for Neon's monthly Standard Plan will be $17.99 per month, and for our Annual Plan it will be $179.99 per year.


I use Neon with a promo code – will that still work after the price change? 

If you are on a Neon promo code, you will still be eligible for the discount. The discount will be applied to the new monthly Standard Plan price if the voucher is in use after 15 August.


What if I'm a Spark customer?

Spark will be in touch via email, or if you would like to discuss your options you can contact Spark directly. directly.


What if I have forgotten my password?  

Same as always, go to the website, click “Log in” and follow the instructions to reset your password. 


What happens to my registered devices, parental controls, settings and watchlist? 

These will stay the same once the price increase comes into effect. 


Where can I find my account information? 

Log in, click on your profile image and select “My Account”.
