Who can grab the student deal?
If you’re a current tertiary student and you picked up a voucher code during Orientation Week at the University of Canterbury, University of Otago, or University of Auckland, you’re good to go.
This one’s for new NEON and/or Sky Sport Now sign-ups, plus returning customers who are coming back for more.
What exactly do I get 50% off?
Glad you asked.
The 50% student discount applies to:
- NEON Basic, and/ or
- Sky Sport Now Month Pass
You’ll get up to 12 months of half-price streaming. Same content, same access - just way better value.
How long do I have to use my code?
Don’t sit on it. Your voucher code needs to be redeemed by 11:59pm on 30 April 2026. After that, it’s gone and we’ll all pretend we didn’t see it.
How do I apply the voucher code on NEON?
New Customers:
- Go to neontv.co.nz/sign-up/account
- Create your NEON account with your Email address and password
- Agree to the Neon Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
- Agree to receive emails promoting Neon Services
- Click ‘Create Account’
- Add your unique voucher code and click ‘Choose a Plan’
- Select ‘Basic with Ads’ plan and click ‘Get Basic Plan’
- Complete the details page and click ‘Set Up Payment’
- Enter Payment details and click ‘Complete Payment’
All done! You can now get stuck into the awesome content that NEON has to offer.
Existing Customers:
- Go to neontv.co.nz
- ‘Log in’ to your NEON account with your Email address and password
- Head to My Account (drop-down in top right corner)
- Select ‘Plan and Payment’
- Select ‘Add Voucher’ add voucher code and click ‘Redeem’
All done! You can now get stuck into the awesome content that NEON has to offer.
How do I apply a voucher code on Sky Sport Now?
Voucher codes can only be redeemed via web, and cannot be redeemed on the Sky Sport Now Apple applications.
New Customers:
- Go to the skysportnow.co.nz/signup
- Create and account with your details
- Agree to receive special offers and updates on upcoming sport events
- Agree to the Sky Sport Now Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
- Select ‘Get Month Pass’
- Enter your voucher code and click ‘Apply’
- Once this code has been applied, select one of the payment options in the left box to continue your account creation with your voucher code applied.
- Follow the remaining account creation steps.
Existing Customers:
- Go to the Sky Sport Now Website
- Click ‘Sign In’ at the top right of the page
- Login to your account
- Go to My Account > Subscriptions
- If you do not have an existing subscription, select ‘Buy Now’ on the pass that your promo code is applicable to > add the promo code > complete the purchase with your promo code applied.
- If you have an existing subscription and your promo code is applicable to that subscription type, select the ‘Apply a Promo Code’ option in the box of the Pass and enter your promo code.
- If your promo code is applicable to a different Pass, select ‘Buy Now’ on that pass > apply your promo code and complete the purchase of that pass.
I’m on NEON Basic plan already. Can I use my voucher code now?
Yes. Apply the voucher code in your account by 11:59pm on 30 April 2026. The 50% discount offer will take effect from your next billing date
I’m on NEON Standard plan. Can I use my voucher code ?
Voucher code cannot be applied immediately. To redeem the voucher code for a Basic plan, you must cancel your current subscription and wait for the existing billing period to expire. Once the current subscription ends, you may purchase a new Basic plan and apply the voucher code by 11:59pm on 30 April 2026.
What if I cancel during the 50% Discount Offer Period?
You may end your subscription at any time by cancelling on the Neon website and/or Sky Sports Now website. If you end your subscription in this way, you will be able to continue to use the subscription until any prepaid period expires, after which time your subscription will end.
What happens at the end of the 50% Discount Offer Period?
Once the 50% Discount Offer Period of 12 months ends, your Neon and/or Sky Sport Now monthly subscription will automatically renew at the standard monthly price in effect at the time of renewal until cancelled by you.
How do I cancel my plan on NEON?
You can cancel your plan in 'My Account'. Choose 'Plan & Payment' and under 'Manage your plan', click 'Cancel'.
If using a mobile device, you will need to use the menu (top left) to access the 'Plan & Payment' option. Don't worry, you can reactivate your plan again at any time by logging back into your account and clicking resume.

How do I cancel my plan on Sky Sport Now?
If you do not want your pass to renew automatically and you are not paying via your Apple account, you can cancel at any time on the ‘Subscriptions’ page on our website.
To cancel your subscription paid via your Apple account, you must follow these steps:
- Go to Settings on the device on which the purchase was originally made
- Select 'Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases'
- Select Subscriptions
- Locate and tap the relevant subscription, then select 'Cancel Subscription'
When you cancel a Month Pass or Annual Pass, you will not receive a refund of the amount paid. You will be entitled to view content for the remainder of your pass and cancellation will take effect at the end of the term.
Are there any device requirements?
Yes — make sure your devices are supported for both Sky Sport Now and NEON. Check each platform’s website for a list of supported devices.

Terms & Conditions
1. This offer provides full-time or part-time tertiary students aged 18 or over who hold a current tertiary student identification card with 50% discount on NEON Basic plan and/or Sky Sport Now Month Pass plan for up to 12 months from the date the voucher code is redeemed (the 50% Discount Offer Period). The discounted price is based on the NEON Basic Plan price and Sky Sport Now Month Pass plan price at the time you redeem your voucher code.
2. One NEON and/ or Sky Sport Now voucher code per person and voucher codes must be redeemed by 11:59PM 30 April 2026.
3. Offer is only available to those who sign up for a voucher code during University of Canterbury, University of Otago or University of Auckland Orientation week.
4. Sky may require evidence of your eligibility and reserve the right to cancel your subscription if we become aware that you are not a tertiary student. If we cancel your plan in these circumstances, we will inform you in writing and will not refund any money that you may have paid.
5. Offer only applies to the NEON Basic plan and Sky Sport Now Month Pass plan and cannot be redeemed on any other plan.
6. If you are an existing NEON Basic plan subscriber, you can apply the voucher code to your current subscription, and the 50% discount will take effect from your next billing period. If you are an existing NEON Standard plan subscriber, you must cancel your current subscription and wait for the existing billing period to expire. Once the current subscription ends, you may purchase a new Basic plan and apply the voucher code by 11:59pm on 30 April 2026.
7. If you are an existing Sky Sport Now Month Pass customer, you can apply the voucher code to your current subscription, and the 50% discount will take effect from your next billing period. If you are on an Annual Pass, Sky Sport Now x Neon Bundle Pass, or Premium Month Pass, you can downgrade to a Sky Sport Now Month Pass and apply the voucher code. This will take effect from your next billing period. If you are on a Day Pass, you can upgrade to a Month Pass with a voucher code with immediate effect, but you will not receive a refund for the Day Pass.
8. This offer does not apply to NEON movie rentals and Sky Sport Now PPV which will incur an additional cost.
9. You may cancel your subscription(s) at any time via the NEON or Sky Sport Now website. You will be able to continue to use the subscription until any prepaid period expires, after which time your subscription will end. If you cancel your NEON and/or Sky Sport Now subscription during the 50% Discount Offer Period and later choose to resubscribe, the 50% discount will no longer apply and you will be charged the then current standard price.
10. Once the 50% Discount Offer Period ends, your Neon and/or Sky Sport Now monthly subscription will automatically renew at the standard monthly price in effect at the time of renewal until cancelled by you.
11. To use NEON and Sky Sport Now, you will need an internet connection, a compatible device, and a New Zealand credit/debit card.
12. Your usual Internet Service Provider charges apply.
13. The offer is not transferable or exchangeable and is not available in conjunction with any other NEON or Sky Sport Now offers.
14. To subscribe to NEON and Sky Sport Now, you need to be located in New Zealand and be 18 years of age or older.
15. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw this offer in our reasonable discretion.
